Do Not Purchase Newsletter or Software!
I have now determined that Doublingstocks is a scam. Can you make money off of their stock picks? Yes...maybe...if you are early enough and fast enough. Doublingstocks' strategy is to purchase many shares of a stock before they release the name or ticker symbol of the stock.
Then they tell you/us that this is THE stock to own today, which results in about 20 million in volume for the day, driving the stock price significantly higher. Then, after the stock price has doubled, or even tripled, Doublingstocks begins to sell off their shares. This will eventually (or rather quickly depending on how fast they sell off) drive the shares back down.
If you are playing this game with Doublingstocks, good luck. There are much better ways to invest and make good returns. Remember, nothing is free. For today's stock pick, there was definately money to be made and I was one of them. However, all day long I did not feel good about the trade and I should have, right? My instincts were correct though. If you don't believe my gut feeling, read this exerpt from the last Doublingstocks email I recieved (kind of a disclaimer at the bottom of the email):
Doublingstocks.com has been contracted to receive $50,000.00 by a third party (Accelerated Capital Limited) for coverage of UOMO. Accelerated Capital Limited is acompany incorporated in the British Virgin Islands. To my knowledge Accelerated Capital Limited owns shares of UOMO.
Doublingstocks.com and its affiliates or officers have purchased and sold and will purchase and sell shares ofcommon stock of UOMO, in the open market at any timewithout notice. Doublingstocks.com sold approximately 150,000 shares today at a profit.
Doublingstocks.com has approximately 180,000 shares remaining and will continue to sell UOMO shares tomorrow. These sales may lower the value of YOUR purchase of UOMO shares and could result insignificant loss.
Doublingstocks.com will not update its purchases and sales of UOMO in any future postings on Doublingstocks.com. Doublingstocks.com is selling and will sell any UOMO shares that I or my affilates may acquire.
Well? Now how do you feel?
I do not recommend this newsletter (or the software) to anyone. I had an affiliate link on my blog for the newsletter for a time and have removed it. Nobody ever signed up to purchase Doublingstocks under my affiliate, and I am glad for that.
Take the time to learn to invest for yourself. Stay away from these scams. Money (as well as everything else in life) reciprocates the work and integrity you put into it.Unless there is additional information to provide, I believe this will be the last post for this lens. I have moved several of these posts to my, Identity Theft, Rip-Offs and Other Scams lens on Squidoo.

The Second Way Doubing Stocks USES YOU
Scamming You With Stock Picks...You'd Better Be Fast!
It is clear to me now. After six months of waiting for Micheal Cohen's next stock pick, he picked one and "released it to the masses" this morning, just before the opening bell.
UOMO is the ticker symbol. It's closing price the day before was .35. It opened at .48 and ran up to .78 within the first 10 minutes of trading (Volume was 10.3 million in the first 10 minutes). I hope you've got a better brokerage firm than me, I kept missing the bids as it ran up.
By 11:30 am, UOMO had topped out at .94 and then began a steady decline were it kinda stabilized around .75.
Is this a classic case of "picking a stock", telling hundreds (thousands?) of people to get in on it, driving the price higher so your "stock picker" can sell his shares at the top, and leaving his "subscribers" holding the bag in the end? This is definately what I suspect is going on with Doubling Stocks' newsletter. If you have a different view, please tell me!

Penny Stock Investing is Alive...But Is It Well?
Okay, there have been several emails being shot out about today's stock pick from the Doubling Stocks Newsletter. The Stock Pick was UOMO, and has more than doubled since the market opened this morning.
Now, my entry point hasn't doubled yet because of a glitch with Scottrade, which I will discuss in a later post. I actually got in at an entry point that I was concerned about until just a few minutes ago...
I got in at .86.
Shoulda got in at .52
Either way, I will make some decent profits from this trade by the end of the week. Why don't you follow along. Below I have posted the last email/newsletter sent out by Doubling Stocks (Michael). If you want to get in, it's probably not too late. If you just want to follow along in a "paper" trading fashion, just to find out the effectiveness of the Doubling Stocks Program and the Penny Stock Picking Robot (program for your computer), do it!
Michael's email:
Ticker: UOMO
Yahoo: http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=UOMO.OB
Website: http://uomolife.com/
This will be a short email... Becausethe market is about to open. This week's stock pick was just lastweek a small and rather boringrecord company.
But last Friday, they announced ina press release the launch of their new subsidiary "Ad UOMO".
This new business model is quiteingenious. Utilizing the companies existing relationships with music starssuch as Beyonce, Rihanna, BritneySpears and Celine Dion...
They are going to broker deals between advertisers and artists... Just imagine, businesses being able to put their products into music videos and their brandnames into song lyrics... As easily as buying newspaper ad space!
UOMO is one of the first companies looking to introduce product placement to the music industry on a "production line" type scale. One more thing... I'm so confident in this pick... I'm about to buy $100,000 worth ofthe stock. Right now.
Alongside all of my subscribers, I'm going to put $100k on the line. I've waited til now to do this, because then I will have the ultimate proof... That my picks just work.
Best Regards,
Michael Cohen

Doubling Stocks is a Sham
If you want to get junk mail sent to your inbox three or four times a week after spending $97 for that privlage, then sign up for Doubling Stocks. This "newsletter subscription" is a farce. I subscribed several weeks ago, also purchasing the robot, Marl, that is supposed to provide you even more penny stock leads.
Marl does not work.
I haven't recieved anything resembling a newsletter from Doubling Stocks.
I HAVE recieved plenty of junk mail for affiliate partnerships, and believe it or not, ads for Doubling Stocks (with a statement at the bottom that states, "If you have already purchased Doubling Stocks, please delete this email."
Are you kidding me? How can people peddle this crap? I'm not talking about the Doubling Stocks "company", I'm talking about all of the AFFILIATES that are attempting to make a very large percentage of the $97 you spend on NOTHING!
They also have a new video out that they brag will generate even more scammed customers that you can profit from! Wow, awesome...creating affiliates to peddle a non-existing product. This is just another "get rich by ripping off your fellow man' scams. STAY AWAY!
If you are afraid of the current condition of our economy and the future of you and your family, read this article!

VERY Disappointed
So, over the past few days I have recieved a couple of emails from Doubling Stocks. None of them were worth the bandwidth it took to get it to me. Other than emails recommending brokers that they have set up affiliate accounts with, the only emails I have recieved since the purchase of the subscription are emails that state that the stock market is too volitile to pick a stock, to be patient and keep checking my email.
I get two of every email from these guys. They include deals for the subscription that I just purchased too. At the bottom of the email it will state: If you've already purchased the Doubling Stocks subscription please disregard/delete this email.
I think I paid to have my name added to a mailing list of people that are willing to spend money. So far that is all I've gotten from them.
Very disappointed...

So far, not a satisfied customer...
Well, it is Wednesday, January 7, and I have sent two requests to Doubling Stock's Customer Support for help with MARL (The Stock Trading Robot). Three business days and no response (other than the auto-responder).
The specific problem I am having is lack of documentation or instruction. I have followed the help file precisely to import data. By the way, the existing help file and the current program and website do not match, but its essentially the same.
Anyway, the data I import seems "empty" the date shown is like 30 Jul 99 or something. It won't show any charts, and will not filter anything. (lack of data, needs at least three months).
It tells me that I have over 8,000 stocks imported, and none of them have any data associated with them.
I wonder if I am missing a step, or am doing something wrong. It would be nice if Doubling Stocks would reply to my help requests. I'm beginning to wonder if there is a support desk at all.
Additionally, I haven't recieved any of their infamous stock tips either. Then again, he said it may take a COUPLE WEEKS.
So far, I'm disappointed in Doubing Stocks and the Marl program. I will give the subscription the full 60 days to complete this experiment, however if I haven't heard anything from there support desk by tomorrow afternoon, I fear I'll have to call my credit card company and try to reverse the transaction for Marl.
If anyone can tell me what, if anything, I'm doing wrong, please leave a post! I sure would appreciate it!
